' So here's the beginning of the end.
That key is the most important thing to keeping the worlds intact now.
It felt like a dream at first, so happy and amazing, but now it's a nightmare.
Today I realized just what this means.
This key, this portal, the locks that I have to keep intact… All of this.
All of this is just like walking through hell just to get to the next day.
This isn't how I wanted it.
There are still deaths.
What I want is an ending where there are no deaths.
But that doesn't seem possible from our point in time.
This is frightening.
I'm just a normal teen-age author/fan-fic writer.
Why me? But now isn't the time for self pity.'

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see Genesis. He asked what I was writing. I sighed sadly, explaining that I was explaining what's happening in a language that hopefully someone will understand later. I set down the book I was writing in and placed the pen on top of it. I ended up muttering about how fate could be so cruel at times, when you have something in reach, it gets taken away, but when you obtain it, it's nothing like what you expected. I then wondered what would happen if I- if WE failed. He rubbed my shoulder in an attempt to calm me. I tried to explain my bizarre intuition, ultimately confusing myself in the end. I clutched his hand, managing to sum it up in three simple yet powerful words at the time.

"I'm just scared." The words barely escaped my lips. I hoped that he heard them, because that would be the last time I could ever say them out loud.
