Description If the world were to collapse tonight,
I still want to be here in the safety of your arms
watching the world unravel.

Slowly bleeding,
Fading away,
You say the words "Don't worry"
But I'm more astounded than anything else.

It's like we're fading into the background,
Or maybe the colors are getting brighter,
all swirling around with brilliance and grace.

You say my name,
begging me not to look.
I didn't need to ask why,
I knew of the bodies lying there.
But what was in the sky was the visage of heaven and such.

If the world faded,
collapsed,
demolished itself,
I'd still be calm, standing in the safety of your arms.

If we were to fade,
one of us left behind,
only one seeing the beauty,
the other seeing devastation,
It wouldn't be worth it.

I know when we go out,
we'll go out with a bang,
Together, as one.

You still laid beside me,
both of us hurt,
on the grass, not daring to move.
Your hand in mine, we both see it.

That better place, but
our will
kept us here,
both of us saved.

Because,
with a smirk, you'd said,
"This isn't the end."
