And most people don't! Especially not with walls like that! It's annoying when fanfic writers do that because it's tiring on the eyes. And with this, it makes people not even want to argue with you because your points are so hidden in the depths of the wall, it's like finding a thumbtack point in a pile of needles.

How you present it matters too! You don't present it well, people will just blow it off and your opinion won't be heard! Point is, "put it in 20 words or less". Enunciate your point when asked to, but keep that concise too. You'll come off as more professional and people will actually want to read it. "You don't care". ...THEN EXPLAIN THE WALL OF TEXT. You making something like that definitely means you're impassioned. And if you don't care, WHY POST THAT ARGUMENT AT ALL?!

If the person is going to blow off my opinion, than why would they bother even sending their opinion to me? I took the time to read their's, even going off site to fully understand their opinion. Just because it's a "wall of text" doesn't mean they can't read it. Words are still words. They can get through it. Also, you really need to read what I say closely, because you again didn't think what I said. I said I don't care how I presented my opinion as it is, not the argument itself. Not to mention it's not like I can change it now, you're making a big deal out something that's ultimately pointless. While I'll try not making mountains of texts again, it depends on how I am - and how I was tired and annoyed with college when I wrote this late at night.

I'm trying to help find a way to properly structure your arguments so that way people won't have to wade through a bunch of meaningless details to get to the meat of your argument. Which will help you when you're in a proper argument.
They're gonna "blow it off" because they won't want to go through all that. Paragraphs that long and that thick, they're gonna miss some details. And no-one wants that to happen. See what I'm gettin' at here?

I get your trying to help, but here's the plot twist: I know. I just didn't care. More specifically this one because I was tired and annoyed with college and how tired I've been and wrote that entire argument from one to three in the morning. And honestly, I was also annoyed by the fact I had to make an entire response for something I wasn't even focusing on.
My first thing was I explain why a semblance that copies everything including other semblance's wouldn't work with Jaune's character, fighting style, and the logic the world of RWBY and ended it by saying I thought it would be funny/ironic if it was Jaune semblance since it would point out even more how he's just a terrible copy of Ruby's character. Hence the guy who made an essay sized argument for how my ad hominem, something that was not be taken seriously, was incorrect and how Jaune's a stronger character. Then my response explaining that Jaune's character is not only a terrible character, but also the fact the only reason he's considered a "stronger character" than Ruby is the fact RT has given a massive amount of character development/screentime while doing the opposite for Team RWBY, the more likable characters and main leads.
Yes, I need to break down my paragraphs. I know that, I just didn't care when writing that response.
Oh, and now we have this crap. People angry about Ghost in The Shell? This crap gets a free pass?

Yes, they take great offense to an ad hominem towards a fictional character. Not directed to the guy I responded to, not towards fans of Jaune, but character that doesn't exist in reality. Seriously, why would someone get offended for a person isn't even real? That's fine, I'm not calling you out for liking him. Though it's interesting how you're not the least bit curious on how I think of him while I've heard all the reasons why people like him - even I did once. Not to mention this wasn't me pointing out he was bad, just the fact because RT gave him such a huge amount of screen time, they've underdeveloped the main characters.
Because it's rude to ignore someone, I had nothing better to do, and it's always interesting to talk to someone who holds a different opinion from you - even when you're annoyed and lazy to care about paragraphs. And you're close, I kinda get lost when writing long responses or thing I'm aware of.

It's already been hinted that it's something defensive. Remember when Cardin punched him and there was a white flash? I'm betting his Semblance does something like reflect an attack back at his opponent.

I'm kind of in this boat. Most Auras don't flash like that, and they never knock people down.
I said this below, but my theory is that he gets protection with his conviction to protect someone else. We've only seen it tested once, and like Weiss's summoning it's a muscle he hasn't really used.

But we've never seen that kind of thing happen to anyone but him. Aura is just a shield; it absorbs hits, whereas Cardin had his attack thrown back at him. Aura is passive, what we saw with Jaune was something reactive.

Um, i'm pretty sure that they explained it in the world of remnant video. They said that aura allow huntsman to survive and heal from wounds that would normally be fatal. And also after pyrrah unlocked his aura jaune was able to heal immediately. I don't think that jaune can use his semblance after a few seconds of learning about aura.

yeah, but yang is trained, while jaune is pretty much a normal dude. we don't see semblance activating for other normal folks in the series, we've only seen them with huntsman and huntress so far.

But Yang's Semblance triggers whenever she gets angry, not exactly controlled there, is it? Besides, Monty Oum's already stated that what we saw when Cardin punched Jaune is to do with Jaune's Semblance. How can you argue against the guy who created RWBY?

No that was the force field or as Pyrrha said an aura. The aura of a huntsmen or huntress can protect them from minor damage depending on the stamina or so to speak

Yes, it protects them, but it doesn't throw an attack back at the attacker. All aura does is absorb attacks. Instead, we saw Cardin's attack reflected back at him. If you're still in doubt, Monty Oum himself stated that the flash of light we saw WAS the first hint of Jaune's Semblance.

Probably something like a counterattack shield or a serious buff to defense. If Cardin was in pain from punching Jaune, chances are it'd be one of those.
