I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS HAPPENED. I really just. I do NOT understand the whole BigFour craze that has been ..just...taking over tumblr and da.
Out of those movies the only one I really LOVVVED was HTTYD. (unpopular opinion; I think wreck it ralph was better than..brave and rotg.)
But I kept seeing it. and all of a sudden I had ..ideeeaas. So this..happened.
Heres the picture backstory part no one actually wants to read. This is long and not entirely needed, so read at your own peril.
So, all of what I was seeing was..like a combination of the movies, in their own respective time canons..somehow? or, just straight up AU's like...hogwarts or whatever. But I wasn't seeing Guardian Hiccup, Merida, and Rapunzel....as in like. real guardians. They appear as themselves with like ..no outfit change or powers or..anything.
So my brain concocted this...guardian big four. ROTG universe..current anyway.

Hiccup, the general idea is that at some point..Hiccup and Toothless die. together, but their legend of dragonrider and dragon live on until they come back as Guardians. But, it has been so long, their stories and legends were ..changed and altered over time that Hiccup has become almost dragonlike himself. more of a dragonlord, with toothless..just as much in his own right a guardian, but we can't just have a dragon flitting around, so hes summon-able. basically. I haven't thought it all out.
I'd imagine Hiccup being very much a recluse because of it, with or without memories if his first life. He wouldn't look entirely human , and like his previous life..Toothless would be really the only one he trusted or truly befriends. I don't think Hiccup could ever really out-sassy his..already self. but I'd think he'd be a bit more ..dark. mature. big scoop of snark. (and of course making friends with the others would bring out his more..hiccup-y self.

Rapunzel, her original..canon legend has stuck around for awhile, i'd imagine if her movie-self was a true legend..it'd last for just as long. I think her Guardian-self would be practically radiant, and the same compassionate and dreamy girl she always was. She wouldn't have her memories, but long for them in a more subtle way than Jack ever did. If she ever did remember, it might crush her, remembering the love and family she had no longer. (in my mind, the actual rapunzel would have lived a long happy life, though. but her guardian self comes from the legends surrounding her youth and magic.)

Merida, would be the picture of a warrior princess. A huntress. Her legend coming from the deep woods of Scotland, it would be thick with mystery, magic and impeccable skill..obviously, much like the movie. Unlike the movie, much like Hiccup's legend, it would have been subject to change over time. Instead, she'd be depicted more as a guardian of the forest. Fierce as a bear, but with the control of a expert. Basically, she'd kick ass, and then vanish back into nothing making you wonder if she was ever there or not.
(and Jack would obviously be the same as the movieverse)
