Description
They had been separated from Kuro. Grovert and Flavio both knew they were screwed, but kept smiling. But Grovert’s smile was fake, he was injured in pain, bleeding. He had wrapped his scarf around the wound on his stomach, but the blood had already soaked through,
“Flavio,” Grovert quietly whispered, afraid ‘it’ would find them, “I found a key… It might lead to the back door that ve found.” Flavio’s eyes lit up from behind his glasses. The two didn’t remember each other’s eyes. Grovert had seen them once but the colour was lost to him, Flavio had never seen Grovert’s eyes. Each wanted to asked, but decided it was for the best if neither did. As they walked to the back door, Grovert felt eyes on him. He shivered, unlocking the door and letting Flavio go out first; then checking around as he exited the building, closing the door behind him. Outside was a small tulip garden, Grovert ran over to them extremely happy at the sight,
“Oh, you darling flovers, has the monster been caring for you vell?” He cooed to nothing in particular, and he forgot his pain. Flavio stood beside him,
“Why do you-a like these flowers, so-a much?” Grovert smiled warmly,
“They fill me vith hope. In a battle vith Spain, he had pinned me dovn, beside a tulip… I was filled vith such vonder that this tiny flover thought it could live in a battlefield! I won that battle, thanks to a tulip.” Flavio chuckled, Grovert was like a big brother to him, he truly looked out for the weak italian. Flavio only wished he were that good of a brother to Luciano. The pair had not realized how long they had been out there, but it was long enough for ‘it’ to find them. The back door creaked open, and Grovert growled lowly,
“Flavio Vargas, behind that tree now.” he commanded. The large tree in the back yard stood faraway enough from the garden. Flavio opened his mouth to protest but Grovert already made a come back,
“SOUTH ITALY, TREE NOV!” Flavio whimpered as he went behind the tree Grovert was never that angry, nor did Grovert EVER, for any reason call Flavio by his country name. Flavio stuck his head out a bit to see Grovert have his knife in hand, and clutch his stomach,
“Bastard… You came back.” He growled to ‘it’. Grovert took a sharp breath and stabbed the thing suddenly in the neck. It let out a roar, and struck Grovert in the stomach again. knocking him to the ground. Sighing Grovert groaned,
“Do you think you are killing evil? You are not little monster. We are not bad people, we just involuntarily do bad things.” Tears slipped down Grovert’s face he knew what was coming, with his knife in hand he clutchced it so hard his knuckles went white. Fresh blood leaked from his stomach, as he picked a tulip from the ground. The monster merely stared, curiously,
“When you tried to attack Flavio earlier, I, could not see your intent…Other than to kill. There, vas no plan. You are the evil, monster… But, I have one request, if you are, wanting to be a good thing, let them go…They do not deserve it.” The monster stared, furrowing its brow before taking Grovert’s hand, and driving his knife into his neck killing him instantly, at least thats what it thought, it then dragged Grovert into the tulips and left. Flavio had watched the entire thing, tear’s would not stop flowing out of his eyes,
“This isn’t real…” he sobbed, “No! BIG BROTHER NO!!” Quickly Flavio rushed over to the dutchman, who was smiling. One of the lenses of his glasses had broken, showing the magnificent blue underneath. Flavio took off his glasses showing Grovert their ruby colour,
“Grovert look, my eyes! See their red! Aren’t I weird…Please, say-a something…” Tear’s blurred Flavio’s vision. Grover croaked out something,
“Your eyes are amazing Flavio…Mi fratellino. Ah, at least I’m with the tulips now.” He smiled exhaling, and freezing. Flavio’s heart stopped,
“Grovert!! GROVER!! WAKE UP IDIOTA!! Please… please…” The back door slammed open and another italian screamed out Flavio’s name,
“FLAVIO!! ARE YOU OKAY!!” Luciano burst through, and saw his older brother crying, then he saw Grovert. Kuro had told him what happened, ‘it’ had come and finished the job, Luciano already knew. Flavio looked at his brother, his red eyes, were puffy and Flavio had blood on him. Luciano’s eyes were the same, puffy and red from crying,
“Fratello!!” Luciano ran to him and hugged his brother tightly, Flavio sobbed into his back. Luciano let some tear’s fall. Most for the relief that his brother was alive and well, some were for the death of the brave, loyal, and happy dutch man’s passing. Kuro stood at the door, looking at the corpse of Grovert, and Kuro for once in his life almost couldn’t stand it. He felt the bile, and tore his eyes away, at that moment Kuro had made a fatal mistake, he vowed to himself to kill the monster. For Grovert, and any future victims. But for the Italies, each just wanted to get out alive, or wake up from this terrible nightmare.
