Description
: Since kid I remember drawing many things but not a sword. My passion for swords started with The Legend Of Zelda - Ocarina Of Time's Master Sword around 2000's and since then I couldn't stop. I wanted to make one by myself too but my drawings were not great stuff back then. It was around 2007 that I started to draw one very strange sword bearing a curve because I could not draw very straight blades. The bad curve inspired me to make a silhouette of a face, despite looking like a bird, it's not. I wanted to make it abstract so people can freely interpret the face.

As I evolved on my drawing skills I took a few times to redraw it around 2011 ~ 2015 and finally one last time around 2020. For some reason I kept thinking about this weapon and interestingly it is still one of the few and oldest concepts I drew that survived until now and got a final design, after +14 years. This sword transcended time and evolved as it followed me, now I have a deep attachment to it.

As I started to deal with 3D models, I took all the concept sketches still in my Portfólio and did a 3D Model with textures and all. The Final 3D Model render can be seen HERE .

These drawings and sketches were the only ones I could find after all these years. I remember I had done more but I lost most of them, some mainly notebook sketches. Two of these sketches I did by memory but they are 100% accurate because I never forgot the old designs.

Its design is a mix of a Macuahuitl (Aztec/Mayan Sword), Tacape (Brazilian Indigenous sword shaped like a spear), a Scythe, the classic Medieval Swords and a touch of Fantasy. The name, Müíñtãn has also its meaning but I prefer not to say.
