Description Well, I have been working on a map for an RP forum site, that I participate in, for a while now, and I've felt that it was time to make a "game like" version of said map. So, after looking through various other people's maps and tiles, I was able to come up with a way to redesign the various location, as well as I could.

Here is the starter village for the RP board, Tianto Town. It is centered around a valley in the far north-eastern side of the region, Gamos.

[link] or [link] is where the overview map could be found.

To make the map, first I took various tiles (several hundred), and then created a tile sheet for the 2D game development engine "Sphere" (which took several days on its own, by-the-way). Then after all the tiles were configured (or created), I settled out making the map using the built-in map engine for the program.

After the map was completed, I took a screen shot of the resulting image, pasted it in MSPaint, did a little editing to make it look clean, and this was the result.

This is NOT for a game, but it was less complicating using the game engine instead of just going out making a map with just MSPaint, after all...

As a bonus, I've also created a much larger, and more realistic version of the city using 16 bit tiles, however, it isn't quite complete, as it is irritating getting everything "perfect."

- Credits -

Pokemon-Diamond - for the laboratory building
PrinceLegendario - for the ground, hill, tree, and house tiles
Alucus - for the tall grass, flower, and various tile oddities

I do, however, have some of my own tiles prepared... but not for this map.
