I love the sweeping counterpose of the newer one (it's called "contrapposto", and you see it often in the powerful figures by daVinci and Michelangelo, with the weight unevenly distributed and the figure standing primarily on one leg with the body turned). The older one is beautiful, too, but she is rigid and lacks the elegant flow of the new one. I think the face is nicer on the new picture, too, more clear and distinct; of course, the nose and eyes have a hint of Kim Possible. The hair, hand and arms show a greater confidence and technical mastery. How much time passed between the first and second?

I read some tutorials and I'm still practicing with Traditional art, as well. I joined a group called, and it's SOOOOO helpful! I take mental, and real, notes like CRAZY!
