Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone

The sulphur pools, hotsprings and thermal areas create the most interesting landforms I've ever witnessed close-up-and-personally.

I specifically took this shot for a friend of mine. He and I always do what we call "faux macros" - for those of you that don't know, we cheat on macro shots because we're cheap in terms of not having a macro lens, haha. I did the best I could from being stuck behind a railing This is one of my favorite shots and is dedicated to hehe, Here you go, Jon! I promised!!!
