Saw this on a flag for a bee related organization in the Balkans and it inspired the idea for this flag. I have seen the previous flags for the Balkan Federation and I didn't like it. The symbolism here is meant to represent that like a bee, the Balkans are stronger if they work together. Although each of the constituent countries are small, together like a swarm of bees can be deadly.
