Description
Here's the hyena that travels with Kifo while they're away from the clan. Shaba means "copper" and is a literal name that was chosen at birth, considering she has mutation that sets her coat color apart from her family. The design is simply a spotted hyena, and they are from a savannah region.

Shaba's most defining features are, of course, her brown pelt that should have been blacks/greys like her family. There is also her brown nose, the lack of a mask marking, and the asymmetrical face spots on her left cheek.

Shaba is closer to Kifo than the rest of the clan, mostly because she grew up alongside the cub, but also because she has lingering feelings of attraction that she has told nobody about. She finds Kifo to be a strong leader with quick wits and the compassion that a lot of other lions lack - and as Shaba is the potential heir of her clan, she finds this a very attractive thing even knowing that Kifo is a lioness. Even as her clan had raised Kifo, she knows that they would never approve of such a disturbing thought; A hyena loving a lioness and wanting to be her mate. There was a fine line and she would never cross it, for fear of losing her family and her best friend.
As for Shaba's own personality, she is just as strong-willed and quick-witted as her lioness counterpart, and when it comes to keeping the clan in line, she is very dominant. Even without her mother's guidance, she had always been aggressive on her show of dominance and has only ever really been bested by Kifo, though they would obviously only call it play and not as a real test of skills.
