Description my god....I can't believe she did another painting in tea. This is getting so very old...has she run out of ideas or something?

Yes! I am back with yet another tea painting. I have been working in watercolor and such but only for some commission work that I don't care to post here. I have not given up on other mediums, I swear. Just trying to build a portfolio here

I have really no idea where this inspiration sprouted from but I just wanted to try working in a more illustrative way. The entire time I worked in this piece I was listening to Owl City's new songs and I thought the lyrics really fit well with this style so this is a sort of backwards tribute to Adam Young.

Haha, whatever I love these tea paintings! Make as many as you want! lol I really like this one, it's very surreal and feels like something you would see in a dream, or a Hayao Miyazaki, for some reason it reminds me of Ponyo and Spirited Away, and that's definitely a good thing. Everything is well placed, and helps to complement the feel of the painting, the little boy in particular sticks out to me because he's so detailed, the fish are really detailed and realistic looking. I love your style, I never get tired of it.

Well then I must continue! haha, I have at least two more tea paintings planned out but I am going to do more watercolor and I just got scratch board that I'm excited to try out too.
I wanted a very surreal feeling, like a dream or child's imagination. It is an absolute honor to be compared to Miyazaki in any way so thank you very much. He is a pure genius. I have a long way to go ^^

uhhh, I know. I've just been taking up a ton of odd jobs. I checked almost 15 places and no one is hiring. I do have to do a painting for one couple and that should be about $400 so it's a start
