There is one thing I do not understand. I have this camera, and tried to take self portraits of myself, but the pictures came out of focus and soft :/ (with a self timer). Any advice?

self portraits are hard, especially with the focusing. with this photo i had my camera up on a tripod and stretched my arm out to press the button, while i was in front of the camera. however when i can't do this and must use the self timer... i usually get an object like a pillow or something and put it in the spot that i will be standing. i then focus on the object so that the photo doesnt come out blurry. then as the self timer is going, run to the spot and kick the pillow out of the way
the reason your photos came out, out of focus was probably because you had focused on a distance or object that was different than where you ended up in the photo.

Nice job with the lines all over the place which add leading lines. I like the one that entends down. Good job with one eye closed and one eye open to represent both the alert and then subconscious state that the labyrinth can take and there are both physically and psychologically represented.

the one eye closed and the other opens a great touch as well
the strang coming to the bottom makes me think like a spider wrapping him. some giant spider. just like arachne as was mentioned before
