Do you know this phrase "it's all fun and games until...."? Well, Malcom is the alive image of that quote. He lives for fun, adventures, experiences and prefers dying that reading a super-boring-nerd book. It's not necessary to say that the word "study" isn't on his vocabulary... but living in a family full of "nerds", being like this could be a problem.
He's one of the Sherman and Penny's children and, unlike his sister, he isn't proud of it. His relation with his relatives (specially with his father) is a failure, and he is really conscious about it, but thinks that would never change.
He's so different from everyone on his family that he'll prefer living at school. Because of the classes? Obviously... NOT!!!! It's because he's one of the most popular guys at his school and he has his best friend John there too, along with million of girls who adore him with all their hearts.
Finding the WABAC was mostly because of his fault, because Emma would have never done something so irresponsable... but what do we live for?? FOR HAVING FUN! He pressed the red buttom of the WABAC and, just like that, he became a time-traveler.
