NAME; Sandkit -> Sandpaw -> Sandbreeze

{ HISTORY }

Sandkit and Bugkit was born to Greyecho and Redfawn of HeatherClan, and had originally been an enthusiastic, upbeat, and optimistic kit. Bugkit and Sandkit were inseparable and went everywhere together, and often made fun of Lynxpaw, Sweetpaw, and Ivorypaw, the older cats who would be made warriors soon. They got into mischief and gradually Sandkit began to show an interest in becoming the medicine cat apprentice. Eager for an apprentice, the medicine cat agreed. A moon before their apprenticehood, the apprentices became warriors known as Lynxclaw, Sweetsong, and Ivorythorn. A moon later, they became apprentices.
Sandpaw was eager and patient, willing to help patients and quickly grasped the knowledge of herbs and healing. Halfway through their apprenticeship, Bugpaw began to voice an interest in Ivorythorn. Sandpaw ridiculed his brother, and stuck to his education as a medicine cat. Quickly, he earned his medicine cat name - Sandbreeze. Five moons later, his brother Bugpaw was named Bugwing. He became mates with Ivorythorn and eventually had a litter of kits with her, known as Briarkit and Oakkit. Sandbreeze was proud of his brother and spent some time with his niece and nephew before his duties called him away. Because Sweetsong, the current deputy at the time, had been Ivorythorn's sister, they spent time together and became best friends. However, their duties drove them apart.
Three moons later, Sweetsong, Redfawn, Littledove, and Nettlefang caught a bout of greencough. Littledove was the only one who survived; the others died off one by one. Sweetsong asked for Sandbreeze to be beside her for a moment. For her dying breaths, she confessed to having fallen for not Bugwing, and told Sandbreeze that she never wanted Sandbreeze's brother to find out. Sandbreeze promised her and then she died. It was shortly after, when Sandbreeze chose to go out and gather herbs, his father died. The medicine cat apprentice blamed himself heavily for both their deaths, ad greaved them. He became seclusive and snapped at patients, until he was taken aside and forced to accept that they were dead and gone and that it wasn't entirely his fault.
Eventually, when Meadowleap died, he took on his own apprentice -- a young and silent tom named Spiderpaw. who didn't trust anybody or anything. Gradually, Sandbreeze and Spiderpaw grew close and finally, after moons, they could make each other laugh -- a feat that nobody had managed to do before since Sandbreeze's father and friend died, and for Spiderpaw's . Since then, they developed a close bond and gradually they fell for each other. They agreed that they would become secret mates when Spiderpaw finished his training. But Spiderpaw was killed by a wild fox and Sandbreeze once more fell into a depression, blaming himself for everything.
Ever since then, he's become distrustful of cats. He doesn't want to get hurt again.. even if it means he'll be alone.
