Past: Arcturus was a compassionate child, Luna often said his heart was too big for his own body. He had a happy childhood, better than most. He didn't begin to go cruel until he saw his own father murdered by his own mother and aunt. Soon enough Luna grew cold, and got banished to the moon. That however just turned him cold, what turned him hostile was when his own Aunt banished him to the wastelands in fear he'd suffer the same fate as his parents.
Present: Hearing his mother was back, and "reformed" He ventured off to Canterlot into open arms, pretending as if they hadn't turned him away. In all truth he might of turned out just fine if his own Aunt just took him in and helped him. But now, instead he is cold, and planning to get justice, and prove to them just how feared he can be. He rules alongside his cousin, who is king of the sun.
Future: Arcturus befriends the Diamond Dogs, and a few gifted ponies, and begins to build an army to be reckoned with. His plans are to conquer, and show them just what they did to him. This of course fails, and he is eventually reformed, but how and why is unknown for now.
