China and Russia have always hated each other, and with Russia getting its ass kicked by Ukraine, and losing most of it's military, all China has to do is decide that it wants it's territories that the Russian Empire stole back. And with this conquest, China would finally have everything it needs to expand it's population even more and have all the oil and gas it could possibly want and if projected correctly, this would finally put them over the United States in terms of power and influence. Along with the alliances they have made with Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern and oil rich nations, they would have all they need to be the number 1 most powerful nation on the planet. Russia would be nothing but a puppet of Beijing.
