Great shot. Excellent work.
There is a time for all of us who have experienced the ocean or any deep water place, when we first begin to feel and understand the awesome magnitude of just what we are looking at. The utter difference from "our" dry land, from where we feel most safe and at home. How easily we could be lost there in the water, and for some of us, myself included, the promise of a lessening of the pointless and relentless dumbness of so many human endeavors. The "call of the sea" it is named, which includes the promise of hard work, little wasted effort and a just reward when the job is finished. This young lad may have had the beginnings of understanding while there on the dock. I was about that age when I first recognized its' terrible beauty.

There were a huge fog layer that day and I went to the seaside.
Seaside was amazing and I took many shots. this boy was watching the sea for a long time.
I took this shot then asked him "Can you pls move back a little?" I wanted to take the same shot without him. He got back as if someone woke him up. And I saw that the view is nothing without him. I felt sorry for what I said. I went near to him and said "The view is not good without you"
Just as you said "Such a large world, such a small child!"
There is his feelings in this photo, without feelings the shot is meaningless.

There were a fog layer all around but the seaside was soooo beautiful.
