Btw in case you didn't know Angela now belongs to Marvel Comics.
Basically she was created by Neil Gaimen for Spawn and debuted in Image Comics Spawn #9. But then McFarlane claimed Angela was created by Gaimen as a "work-for-hire" and that he was sole owner of the character which broke an agreement with Gaimen who was told he would have co-ownership of the character. Gaimen sued McFarlane and won Angela in the settlement. Gaimen then sold the character to Marvel Comics as a huge F-U to McFarlane.
So now Angela's origin is Freyja and Odin had a daughter named Aldrif, but there was a war between Asgard and the Tenth Realm, Heven, and the Angels that lived there. The leader of the Angels apparently captured baby Aldrif and made it look like he killed her, so Odin, in a fit of rage, cut off Heven from the entire universe, leaving only nine realms.
Aldrif, however, was not dead and was adopted by another Angel and raised as Angela. She was torn out of Heven during the Age of Ultron story and has been a part of Marvel ever since.
