I really love this piece but one thing has been bothering me for awhile... the light source. If this mermaid was a deep water mermaid the ony light source should come from the light on her head and from the other fish. It would really increase the mystery of the piece as natural sunlight would not reach those depths.

All the things i wanted to see in a mermaid! She's wearing hooks and netting, her ears and hands are webbed, her tail matches her body and you added a anglerfish antenna! Which makes sense for how deep she is. Details and creativity really count for a lot in this one. Simply inspiring

Wow. Not many people can come up with unique mermaids anymore, but you pulled it off. I love the fishy-light-thingy on her forehead (wow, I really need to learn what that thing is called). Very well done.
