So, the first trailer for TMNT 2 Out of the Shadows came out. And I didn't care much for it, while it looks better then the first movie, but lets be honest; watching paint dry was more entertaining then the 2014 movie and I wouldn't have to loo at those hideous Creature designs, yuck. I'm not convinced we're getting a better movie.

The Turtles are slightly tweaked, but still looks like Hulks with shell-backpacks and not Ninja Turtles. New Shredder looks alright I guess, New Baxter seems to be a mix between the Fred Wolf cartoon Baxter and Eddie Murphy's Nutty Professor. And it's funny to see Bebop and Rocksteady being better designed then the title characters, that's just amazingly bad.

So, inspired by a friend's photo edit of Mikey to make him look better, I wanted to do my own redo of the Turtles.

Like the others, I drew the base pose from a photo of Alan Ritchson in his mo-cap suit. It wasn't easy finding a good full body shot of Alan, so I'm not satisfied with the finished work, but it's doable. I tweaked his chest harness so it looked less dumb, and was still connected to the shoulder plate.

I wanted to make the sai look like iron made sai, and to be in scale with Raph, as a combat useful sai should extend a bit further out from your elbows when holding them.
