Expectation: Brick is sometimes portrayed as your typical bully/cold/strong/stoic lady attractor and Blossom gets all giddy around him, which is honestly not my favorite dynamic but I totally respect it!
Scenario #1: Brick was friendly towards her, noticing how it was much more convenient than keeping the old tension that had built up after him and his brothers grew out of their wish to “destroy” the girls. This friendliness actually got Blossom way to comfortable and now she rambles just TOO much about complex stuff.
Scenario #2: They’re actually very good friends! Noticing they have intellectual interests in common, they take advantage of this to have topics to chat about. This also means comparing grades and extracurriculars. The remaining puffs and ruffs are very sick of seeing them dance around their feelings and try to prove who is more of a prodigy.
Scenario #3: If written or drawn well, this dynamic can be one of my favorites. Brick is still in an odd spot between villainy and just living his own life. He hates to be compared with his dads though, that’s why he hasn’t tried to “take over the city” and instead enjoys to make Blossom’s life an undying and never ending hellhole.
