==Character==

Ryū is a brave, super-intelligent, and creative person. He often hyperfixates on things. Sometimes he's quiet, meditational or focused, but other times he can be a motormouth discussing his hyperfixations, or maybe his grievances. He can be a bit hot-headed too,

==Shortened Backstory==

Ryū Hiroki (リュウヒロキ) was born c. June 200X in a small, likely no-longer extant village which name has not been given by Ryū, his siblings, or any other former citizens of said village. His parents have also not been named and are likely deceased as of 201X.

He was born under the "Ao Samurai" ("Blue Samurai" in Anglish) section of the Hiroki family, and he, along with all 5 of his siblings, were heavily trained since a young age in all aspects. With the hard training, and also likely genetic enhancements from generations previous, they all became extremely strong, fast, agile, and intelligent before they even turned 5. Before Ryū turned 6, he defeated the village's heavily trained karate master four separate times in sparring matches, the last one without even wearing protection. Their strength, speed, intellect, powers, etc. would boost even more by the time each one turned 10-11 and would exponentially boost even more each year (For example, when Ryū was 12 (possibly 13), he was able to create a 30-foot-tall wave in the middle of a lake by the village).

Other than that, they lived under relatively more "traditional" Yoruhonese life compared to most of the urban kids, although their parents were still less strict than some other in rural Yoruhon. Due to the village's size and contention between the Hiroki family and the other residents (for reasons not known to Ryū or his siblings at the time, and will be listed later), Ryū had very few friends outside of his siblings. His best friend was Itaku, who was also the younger brother of Azure's friend, Edo. Ryū and his siblings went to the village's school, although, they often missed certain classes due to their hard training. Despite not necessarily having any "true" friends, Ryū was heavily admired by the villagers, not just because of his extreme strength, etc. at a unusually young age (all of his siblings were admired for that as well), but also because of his interests in art. He would often draw detailed pictures of his siblings, friends, other villagers, surrounding landscapes, as well as characters from his favorite anime and manga.

Ryū (or his siblings) never had really ventured outside of the village when growing up, let alone interacted with everyone outside of it. They did have TV and a computer, so they weren't blocked from information outside of their village, but Ryū especially still felt as if he had missed out on a lot of stuff when he was little. When he was 12, he began heavily studying everything you could think of, math, language, science, history- he especially fell in love with history, which was the topic he seemed to miss out the most on in school. As a fast learner, he could read a very thick history book in just two days (at this point), and just like how even the heaviest of weights were starting to become light to him, he wanted more challenge with his intelligence, so he read an entire series of history books on the history of Yoruhon. It contained 50 books, each with over 1,000 pages. He read and absorbed all of the information in just over two months. However, he still noticed that there were plenty of pages ripped out of the books. He would ask the librarian about the missing pages, but they would nervously dodge the question.

He always knew it had something to do with his family. It had to have been, but he could never get an actual answer. So, he turned to the internet... only to find that certain sections of it were blocked. None of his siblings liked having the truth kept from them, but they mostly still focused on their heavy physical training. Ryū focused on his physical training as much as the other did, so he naively figured that one day, he would find out and be at peace.

Well, he did find out all right.

note that several pieces of information have either been redacted by Ryū himself, or by the publisher.

On June 14, 201X, with shocking permission from their parents, Ryū and Azure were able to venture far out from the prefecture as a whole, and visit the Terraverse Studios theme park in Osan, along side Itaku and Edo. Edo drove Ryū and Azure in his van several hours to the park. Azure ordered Ryū to not engage in any "showing-off", as in he couldn't showcase his strength, speed, flexibility, powers, etc. He couldn't even say the name of the village they were visiting from, and he (and Azure) had to wear clothes that (at least partially) covered-up their physique (this worked better on Ryū than on now ~17-18 year old Azure, who by now had already was growing into a "wide"-physique).

The party spent the whole day at the park, with Ryū and Itaku riding all of the rides (Edo and Azure rode on some too, but according to Ryū, Azure having issues fitting into some of the restraints, especially on older rides). After being at the park, they ate dinner at the adjacent Terraverse TownWalk complex, before heading back home.

As Edo declined an interview, the exact details of the following incident are shaky, with the rest sleeping at this time. However from sprinkles of information learned by both Ryū and Itaku over the years, we could piece together this.

Later at night, they were about less than an hour away from their village, and about half an hour away from the actual city of Amaya. Everyone was asleep except for Edo obviously having to drive, however he too was getting a bit tired, so he decided to pull over into a gas station, where he bought several energy drinks, as well as having a smoke (weed). Reportedly, he was approached by a man in a hoodie and wearing a mask. Not too long later, Edo stormed back into the van and drove off as fast as he could. Allegedly, the man asked a question along the lines of "How was your day at Terraverse", giving a not-so-subtle hint that he was stalking them. The man was also reportedly a samurott, which made Edo even more worried, considering he did know about some of the Hiroki family history (along with Azure at this point). After the gas station went out of view, he woke up Azure and informed up what just happened. Azure panicked, but kept quiet. At this point though, he did wake up Ryū and Itaku and simply told them to "stay up" and "be vigilant", without telling the two much more context.

At 10:44 PM, half an hour after the gas station incident, Edo suddenly got an urgent text from his parents (which was read by tts on the van's interface). The text warned them to "stay out of the village" for the night and that Ryū's/Azure's siblings would also be travelling outside of the village. However, this text was likely sent a little bit before, mainly because the mountains had blocked the 4G data, but also because it was instantly followed by the even more urgent and concerning message, ordering them to "leave Yoruhon", along with a link to plane tickets to Los Prados, Fornia (in the AUS). Itaku was crying and panicking, while Ryū more silently freaked out. The airport was practically "right there", so they quickly turned into it, unpacked everything, and grabbed the flight to Los Prados.

Skipping to the next morning in Los Prados, all the way across the ocean, Ryū felt lost, they all were. All of his siblings were there, as well as his best friend and his brother, and several other kids, teens, and some young adults from their village. Many of them only spoke Yoruhonese (or if they did speak Anglish or even Madrish, barely). Ryū and his siblings, of course, were very fluent in Anglish, but still, that didn't matter. Just like that, life as he knew it was over.

To cut it short, it was because of the would-be Watershell Insurrection in Yoruhon, which would end up being a failure on the insurrector's part, but there is one thing to take into note. The insurrectors were the crime organization Team Watershell, full name being the Hiroki Family Mafia. That was it. There were still more reasons why the Hiroki family was infamous, but that was probably the main.

After getting into the AUS, all of the siblings, including Ryū, had the tattoos symbolizing the "Ao Samurai" removed (they were given them as young children), however they were made with a special chemical, meaning that while most people can't see them, the Hiroki's can see it faintly, and with special genetic modifications and tech, can see it through clothes. Ryū and his siblings moved west, but split into two groups. Azure took the youngest of the two siblings under his care and moved to Nashborough, Cumbria, while Osaka, Ryū, and Satoshi moved to Pennsylvania City, Twilisti, a small bayside city about 20 miles outside of Yunicath (Itaku and Edo moved to Yunicath proper, but Edo moved away in the early 2020s).

Since moving to Twilisti, Ryū prevailed. He continued to train heavily by himself, continued to study, make art, etc., but he initially struggled to fit in with an Archenan coastal suburban life compared to a small rural traditionalist village in the mountains of Yoruhon. He especially found it hard in school, which was now this bigger public facility rather than a house with two classrooms and a field. He wasn't unpopular in school, just different. Him and Satoshi were admired for their physique, strength, etc. at school, though some teasingly called them the "Little Macs" due to their shorter than average height compared to their bulk, which would only get bigger as they got older. Ryū grew to accept that nickname, and when he graduated from high school, was called in to volunteer as a combat training coach, to which he gleefully accepted. It was volunteering with no-pay, though, so he also landed a job as a delivery man for the 1010 Electronics & Appliances store in town (although he also works inside the store moving around and finding stuff). This way, he could utilize his immense strength outside of training, and even after nearly a year of working there, still shocks his coworkers and customers. Also, since moving to PC, him and his two other siblings there discovered that they actually had relatives living in Yunicath. Achi, his cousin, comes over to PC every now and then to help with Ryū, Osaka, and Satoshi, although they have yet to visit him back.

Some trivial questions in the interview posted here:

What was your favorite memory in your old village?

"Too much to single out. One of my favorites was when I was 12. Me and Itaku went to the lake, and I wanted to show-off my moves. So he bet me that I couldn't move the water higher than his bungalow. I took the bet, and I focused on spot in the lake. When most water-types move water, they dig their hands into the water. Well- I did the exact same, but we can focus a bit more of one specific spot. So I DUG my hands into the banks of the lake, and basically pulled it up like a rug. Then my powers fully kicked in, and now I was left with some 30-foot-tall tower of water in the middle of the lake. It was actually taller than I thought it would be, and I had to quickly destroy it before I killed anyone. So I literally stomped my foot into the water, and sure enough, it exploded and created this nice rainstorm. We got soaked. It ended up causing a small flood that wiped out this one poor guy's cabbage stand. He was crying about it the whole week. I felt really bad for him. That is the one not-so-great part of the memory. Also my parents got cited as a result."

What has been your favorite memory in Pennsylvania City, or just your life in the AUS so far?

"I was 15, I met some kid at school named Dereck. Even after living here a couple of years by then, I still felt like I was very out of place here, and Dereck knew that. So one day he offered that me and Satoshi come over to Yunicath to visit the Four Towers park. Now, the last time I went to an amusement park with a sibling and a couple of friends... well you get the picture. But obviously I still agreed, I had nothing better to do. Osaka was an adult starting her own careers out of town, so it really was just me and Satoshi home alone. So we hopped on over to Four Towers and... to say we had a blast would not be saying a lot. Dereck got hyperfixated just like me, so the thing we'd do was looked up the park on Wikipedia, and basically discussed more about its history as we walked through the park. Of course, the park is not on par with Terraverse with all of the theming and quality and stuff. The food tasted like laundry detergent, honestly. But that didn't matter. Us having fun and riding all the rides mattered. Furthermore, when we went to Terraverse, Azure told me not to show-off anything. Well, we didn't have some mafia out to kill us, so showed-off I did. We were in the waterpark, and saw that the wave pool had broken down. Many disappointed peeps headed to the lazy river nearby. Some of the other water types were trying to make waves like what was in the wave pool, but obviously the ones who were strong enough to make bigger waves didn't want to. I did. I went in there and made some pretty big waves... well as big as I could get without hurting anyone. That day was the first day that I truly felt like I fit. Me and Dereck don't talk a lot anymore, but when we do, I always give him the biggest hug. Love 'im."

What do you plan for your future?

"Uhhhh.... my future...? Idunno. Ask me again in like... a year...? Two years?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, this was a little experiment I thought up. I do plan on having him in the comic, but probably at a much later date. This is also my first real dump of lore here but I tried to make it as """unrelated""" to the comic as possible so to not spoil anything (I hope).

New page coming... sometime. Maybe next week, maybe next month. Who knows lol.
