Description
So *technically* its not 100% celtic, but when did I strictly follow the rules anyways?For the most part I would call this a Celtic design, but I added foresty elements to it. Just like how tribal is good for fire, the naturally twisting branches and vines remind me of celtic, or vice versa.
That plus a lot of white space to leave room for movement.

Done with pencil, micron pens, and a green color pencil just for some hues. Touched up on photoshop.

Great picture, and I'm not only commenting because it's a daily deviation.
There were so many views today, it's sad to think that it only had 300 or so views before and most likely, virtually no favorites.. Then someone with sense finally comes along and suggests it.

It's beautiful. I kinda like it with the smudges on the inside - it gives the deer a wonderful density against the clean white background. And yes, i dig the sketchy style - it's traditional and compliments the momentum of the animal. It rocks!

I almost forgot. I only have a suggestion: Clean it! I think if you clean the design, we could appreciate better the lines flow and the sense of movement. It's only my suggestion!

Unfortunately (for this and virtually all my designs) I just naturally draw in a 'sketchy' style and I also don't know PS well enough to clean it up. So that means if you zoom in enough on my drawings you can easily see those messy lines but... I'm afraid that's the way it's going to be for the time being :]

Fantastic! I love the lines flow and how it seems a celtic style but at the same time isn't. You personalize very well the style. Not to mention, the way you got the Spring feeling on a deer made of branches. Impressive!
