Alex is, by far, probably one of my favorite (my favorite??) characters I've had throughout the years. If you've stuck with me long enough, you probably might recognize him. He was created in 2010 but I didn't actively consider him one of my mains til around 2011. I ended up throwing a lot of his traits into Ryan because of how desperately I've missed RPing him, but Alex is still my ultimate bias if I had to weigh the two of them off (the two of them have their differences... I hope.... ,,, yes.....). He's not being actively used in the Happy Family AU, but I can 100% guarantee I've gently hinted at him and he exists there....... waiting to be introduced.... someday............. EITHER WAY, he was in need of a new reference, since the only fullbody reference I made of him was of his "old" form...

Alex is a man in his early 30s. Living a life dedicated to "science" and research (basically obsessively), he's a workaholic scientist-for-hire that seeks to understand the secrets of the universe. Though usually melancholic, he's a kind, gentle, and fatherly man doing his best to juggle his job with his family reponsibilities (and failing, unfortunately... he takes on more than he can chew and his family doesn't appreciate it). His scientific knowledge ranges from genetic modification to large machines to temporal/multiversal alterations (Something of a jack-of-all-trades in the science world, not quite a master at all, but pretty knowledgeable in most. Is this unrealistic? Absolutely). He has quite the lineage of famous scientists and founders in his family line, and upholds his family name and reputation in high regard (despite disgracing his family name multiple times).

He used to be more pompous, seeking a great name for himself to be better than his ancestors. This lead him to treat others poorly, even going as far as experimenting on people "in the name of science". However, being such a brief and dark period of his life, he currently feels deep remorse and regret for these past actions, seeking a means to earn forgiveness by living a clean and good life now. Because of this, he refuses to be any form of violent towards others unless absolutely necessary (like a life or death situation). At one point he accidentally aged himself up and had to dawn his grandfather's identity (resulting in a very long, somewhat humbling arc in his life). Eventually found the cure to said ailment but still deals with additional side-effects from it.
