Been listening to this beautiful cover of the theme song wowYumi suggested me some art program alternatives for Photoshop and I was just testing one of them (this is MyPaint btw).
I'm hoping to test them all! I like the concept of this one, though I had a heart attack when I realized that the ORA file didn't save the image properly and the exported image saved the entire canvas aND MORE! Needless to say I'm not quite used to it yet. I really like the brush variety and how realistic they are! It also runs smoother on my computer than photoshop! Though, I wish I knew if there was a way to make the brushes pressure sensitive rather than by stroke direction. Oh well. I really love it nevertheless. I still have yet to try out Paint Tool SAI as I almost accidentally downloaded malware instead...
Anyway I had sooooo much fun painting the background. This show has really inspired me to drawing backgrounds. I LOVE the forest environment layered throughout the show. Very mysterious and foreboding, yet, dreamy and magical...
