I love how Ozai goes from Phoenix King godliness to drooling goldfish and Sokka isn't even scratched. That must be the true power of Spacesword and the airship slice!
Suki and Toph are reacting appropriately to Masta Swish's victory, I see. And it's a wonder that Aang has faceplanted into the deck of that airship yet. Who needs the Avatar when you have a badass SWT warrior with special skillz?!
Hmmm, this brings me to a new thought. Together, Sokka and Momo would be an unstoppable combination of destruction - you saw how they handled Melon Lord.

The infamous Melon Lord Slice is the sequel to this comic. I just wasn't sure if I could get away with Momo eating BRAINS without getting in trouble.
I firmly believe that if Aang never showed up, Sokka would have figured out a way to stop Ozai. Maybe. Probably. Well, he would have died trying!!
Airship Slice is the most powerful move in Sokka's arsenal. If he got lucky, he might have able to take Ozai out with the first broadside. O' course, once Ozai started flying around and shooting fireballs of doom, it would have been up to Boomerang.

He would have found a way to take Ozai with him. Ran a burning airship into him or something. Not even the Phoenix King can survive being crushed by a giant airship.
It would have been an awesome fight for sure. Sokka would have had to use every weapon at his disposal.

I was already very tempted by the BadAss Sokka idea, and if I can't find any better scenes I'll steal from a not-yet-written-or-posted work for a scene where he (with a tiny bit of help from a few contacts) is a total badass that blows up a house to protect Aang. Also, there are fireworks, because it wouldn't be a Sokka kind of plan if it was all-business-all-the-time.
If that's cheating, I've already been coming up with alternate storylines, because really. Who wouldn't want to imagine sixteen different ways in which Sokka can be a total badass? He's Sokka. He's badass + creativity + witty banter /+/ (that plus really should be bolded or bright green or blinking or something) a total ladies' man.
Ozai's hair is awesome. I love how it goes limp. I also love that it took me so long to realize that Suki and Toph were reacting naturally in the background, because it took me that long to look from Sokka to Aang-and-Momo to Ozai to Sokka to "Sokka would so do that, and Aang would have rocked at destroying an air fleet" to "huh, fangirls."
All that and "space sworded." No one can convince me that "sworded" shouldn't be a valid verb, even without "space" in front of that to make it even cooler.
So apparently people do react to pictures with paragraphs, but it has to be an absolutely epic picture. Like this one. Just saying.

It's not cheating if you haven't posted it yet (heck, even as long as it isn't posted on dA it counts)! And there's no restrictions on length, if you had a multi-chaptered fic showing BA Sokka in all his glory. But you're right, it's fun to sit around and come up with different scenarios where Sokka kicks all sorts of ass.
Lulz, the fangirls are always with Sokka, so it's easy to ignore them.
People can tell me otherwise, but sworded has been in my vocabulary for years and I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon.

Yes! Definitely one of those, but I haven't done HTML coding since high school, and even then I was working from the guidebook.
I have a fresh-and-shiny story idea that even fits in canon. I just need to set it up right to prove that Sokka is absolutely badass, because if this works I'm going to be showing his awesomeness while he's making the rounds at the ball some idiot decided should follow Zuko's coronation. (Sokka doesn't know who did it. He'll find out.)
The fangirls are always with Sokka, and sometimes they carry fans to whack him when he gets a bit carried away about his badassery. He's the rare soul that has three really fun/cute ships straight from canon, if you don't count Ty Lee harassing him.
I like to verb nouns. It's a little odd, because I'm very picky about grammar, but honestly I'm more picky about people accidentally making errors that hurt my eyes (to/too/two, all of those). Both of my grandmothers were English teachers. If I'm going to be departing from traditional grammar, I'm going to know exactly what rule I'm breaking, and I'm going to have fun with it.

I think I have eight friends (I'll figure out the exact number later), and they're all made of the same interchangeable pieces, but the pieces all go into a different order. So, no matter how many friends I make, they're still odd combinations of my previous nerdy friends. The new personalities, of course, make it worth having four humanities-geek friends and knowing at least three linguists that advocate for evolving grammar and standards of comparison and Stephen Pinker and the other vital parts I'm forgetting.
Basically? I am a geek with a keyboard, it's past midnight, and I'm ready to start my new story idea now that Zuko finally admitted that he's in act one scene two. Sokka is still tapping his foot waiting for me to post his story, but I'm running a couple last mindset-checks just to make sure it all comes across as feasible.
The thing is called "Ladies' Man," now that he and I are in agreement about a title. I want to make sure that he stays in-character through the odder parts of being awesome. He realizes at the end of the story that he is, in fact, badass, but spends a good chunk of the first part kvetching that he's being girly. I'm fondly dedicating him in that chap to all my male nerd-friends with many of the same complaints.
