It's hard to explain, but even thought the main storyline is a prequel, the events that inspired the game could be different.
Basically I'm trying to say that in the first game people believe that the whole game was inspired by an event that happened at a real Chuck E. Cheese a couple years back. The second game may not be inspired by the same events, but a different set of events.

Yes, and while I don't necessarily agree with it I don't disregard it as false.
In fact, really all the theories surrounding games aren't really important, because it depends on how the player perceives the game they're playing. The theories are all just people's opinions based on the real world and their own experiences and imagination.
