I wasn't the biggest fan when I first saw the movie, but over time I really came to appreciate certain aspects. I love Elsa dearly, and her interactions with Anna are an absolute delight. I loved how the film handles things like depression and self-isolation, plus addressing feminist issues WITHOUT EVER ONCE DIRECTLY ADDRESSING THEM.
There are a lot of things that bother me about the film, though. I thought they spent waaaaaay too much time with Anna who, while she's a solid, lovable person, she isn't the main character. Elsa is the one who has conflict. She's the real hero and she's the one overcoming obstacles. This kind of set-up makes about as much sense as Mulan's mom having more screen time than her daughter. There were just too many detours drawing our attention away from the real plot for me to consider it a great film.

But surely the new way love is represented is far better and more original than common disney's stories. I also like that there isn't a real villain, everything is centered to the two sisters, even if Elsa could have been the chicken of golden eggs.
