first off that is a kickass car, but could use a bit more color. I mean the gray does not really complement the flames or the cow skull pic on the roof, maybe a light or deep blue could work better.
I know Quen is not happy about getting this award, but should be I mean this proves that no matter how life craps on you, you can still rise to greathood.

Just as I really love your bushes, I really like your grass and paths. You have a way of rendering backgrounds in a style that is totally in keeping with the characters and the world, and yet also painterly and cool.

I get the feeling that seeing the word Dr. in front of his name makes Quen extremely uncomfortable. More-so than wearing a suit.
Knowing that he was once homeless himself, and that he's done some unspeakable things to get where he is, maybe he feels like the title of Dr. is too good for him. Like the suit, it doesn't fit.
That car on the other hand... watching Vik get out of that car is awesome. HE looks out of place compared to the car!

Quen may be a fictional psychologist, but I have a real psych degree.
So when I say your comics make me so happy, and you touch on things most comic artists and writers won't touch with 80' poles, I really am proud of you. You hone in on uncomfortable topics, and make it not taboo to talk about them. You make the stigma of mental illness go away so we can share experiences and ideas, collaborate and create in a way that makes all of us better.
The psych major in me is always tickled to analyze your work.
The depression/anxiety patient in me sees so much of myself on these pages.
You give me something to look forward to, no matter the angle I'm looking at it with.

Methinks that this still implies Quentin was the homeless kid mentioned in the prologue. I mean, you got spine disease, Quentin knowing what it is to come from a rough background where no one gives you a chance, the painting, now this.......
Also, why are you hiding your name from the certificate? And possibly the "of appreciation" words too??
Foreshadowing?? Something that will be explained later on?? Either ways, color me curious.
