Description “What’s that supposed to mean?” she questioned idly, popping a chocolate from the bag in her hand into her mouth.

“It’s an impulse why not run with it?” he explained, “God made us that way, why suppress it?”

She cocked an eyebrow.

“God made many things but that doesn’t mean we should run around in total anarchy.” she argued.

He shook his head.

“I’m not talking about anarchy, I talking about relationships.” he argued.

“Sex isn’t a relationship.” she retorted smartly. “It’s an action that releases ‘happy’ chemicals into your brain.”

She popped another nut.

“It’s called dopamine.” he replied sheepishly.

“Endorphins too, lots of them.” She added, she rolled up the bag and stuffed it into her ever present messenger bag.

She continued. “So you’re saying that if I have the impulse to knock some sense into you, as I do now, I should do it?”

“Well-” he began.

Smack.

“Ow!”

“Reap what you sow man,” she argued, “Reap what you sow.”

He glared daggers at her.

“Ok-ok but I still don’t see a problem with sex.” he admitted.

She faced him fully, a question on her face.

“Who said there was a problem? Sex isn’t the problem, when people use it as a weapon it becomes a problem.” she explained.

“What happened to that whole, ‘sex isn’t a relationship’ thing.” he argued.

“Sex isn’t a relationship. It’s an act. Love-making is a physical portrayal of emotional intimacy that should only take place between a man and a woman in a monogamous relationship.”

“So we can have sex, but not make love?” he argued.

“In this world: society would like to say yes. In reality: never. Sex and love making are one in the same no matter what people tell you.”

He threw up his hands in defeat.

“You’re talking in circles!” He accused.

“You’d like to think that wouldn’t you?” she replied.

“Now you’re changing the subject.” he objected. “How are sex and lovemaking the same thing?” he argued.

“They’re the same physical act, simply with different emotional attachments. You should never have sex with someone you are not dedicated to. You however,” she accused, “Were couching sex with relationships. Sex will not hold anything together, it’s doesn’t make the association a relationship. That’s up to the parties involved. It’s simply a bonus.” She explained.

“Some bonus.” He replied.

She rolled her eyes, but her mouth was smiling.

“You can control your impulses, you do it everyday.” she argued.

“Oh yeah? How so?” he replied.

Without warning she turned towards him, her lips on a direct path for his mouth.

Time froze.

Abruptly she stopped. Their faces mere inches apart.

“Like that.” She said.

He scoffed. “What’s the supposed to mean?”

“I came this far, and I know you’re not going to kiss me.” She explained.

“Oh really and why is that?”

“Because you know I don’t want to.” she reasoned.

He smiled gently and her contradicting logic.

He ran his fingertips along the side of her face. The smile left her lips, vulnerability crept into her eyes.

“On the contrary,” he reasoned, “I happened to know the opposite.”

“What do you mean?” she asked breathlessly.

“I know it’s been your darkest desire since day one.”

Her lips parted to speak but before she could respond, before she could ruin the magic, the moment, the wonder.

He dropped his mouth to hers at long and aching last.
