when he grew closer to the light and was connected to his roots he became a powerful tree, loved by the forest and it's habitants. But sadly he became weak and had this dark growing emptyness inside him, so the day came when they had to make a decision (german: eine Entscheidung fällen) and cut him. You could hear the scared animals screaming "long live the king" as his crown felt to the ground.
Is he dead now? no kid, he's a part of a living forest and now home to new beings
