I have recently been playing Metroid Other M
and it’s really interesting as a backstory adventure for Samus Aran. She joined a military in space when she was already raised by the Chozo after her parents were killed by a killer foe named Ridley. After she joined those troops, she then became a Bounty Hunter and she later goes on her adventure remembering her whole story after she went against Mother Brain many times. Her last adventure before recognizing her own story in that game was when she investigated a Baby Metroid that Ridley took which then it grew bigger to sacrifice itself to heal Samus when she defeated Mother Brain again in Super Metroid.

This was a theory about how the Bounty Hunter starts going against Dark Samus in the Metroid Prime Trilogy!
