This was the first draft of concept art I did for the cover of a book, called "Dreams From a Distant Planet". I've got the more finalized version around somewhere; I'll dig it up later.

In actuality, this wasn't chosen as the final cover piece. But still, this has a warm place in my heart as a damn good sketch.

(Trivia: obviously this isn't a scan, but rather a photograph of the sketch that I made to show my editor when the deadline came up and I didn't have access to a scanner.)
