I know I've been obsesing ove this queston for weeks now but I just can't help it. If I could only change on thing about the Doctor Who Franchice, it would be that Tom Baker would "not" be in Season 18, Season 18 is such an anomally of a series, from the stories to the lead actor. Tom just dosen't belong here, looks so empty inside and his costume it just awful. All at this compered to he earler years with Philip Hinchcliff and his later years with Graham William, this just looks like and ugly lump hanging off the side of a perfacly good run. If this was Peter Davidson's first seanon ad Tom Had left before JNT took over, then his era could have been saved the inbarisment. As for what would happen afterwords, I don't know. Would Peter Davison leave in season 21 like he did in award timeline, giving him four seasons rather than three, or would he leave in season 20, regenerating in the Five Doctors? I ask this because the only reason he left is because Patrick Troughton suggested to him, he should leave, on the set of The Five Doctor which in this timeline would have been at the end of his third. And afterwards, Davidson said he regrated living when he did. But if he did leave at the end of season 20, he might be the only Doctor not to have a Daleks story as season 20 didn't have a Dalek story and Peter Davidson wouldn’t get one until the following season. My only guess is that Peter Davidson might leave at the beginning of season 21 and Resurrection of the Daleks, Caves of Androzani and the Twin Dilemma would be moved to the beginning of the season meaning that the Awakening, Frontios, Warriors from the Deep and Planet of Fire would have Colin Baker in them rather than Peter Davidson and Coiln Baker would get three seasons rather than just two. But a third option would be that Peter Davidson (feeling that he'd already gone past the recommended amount of season) would stay even longer and do Seasons 22 and Trail of a Timelord as well, before regenerating into Sylvester McCoy in Time and the Rani, meaning Colin Baker never becomes the 6th Doctor and Peter Davidson would have the same number of seasons as Tom Baker did and becuming the Tom Baker of the 1980's.
