Toyland has a type of Christmas each year, all the townsfolk get together and eat dinner in the grand dining room of the castle. Afterwards the toy soldiers usually put on a play and invite others to join in. This year, Molly wound up being the "Mouse King" simply because the toy soldiers couldn't figure out how to make props for a 7 headed mouse.

She refused to let them misuse the decorative cabbages that they harvested for it and volunteered without knowing what she was getting herself into to play the role. The Nutcracker Prince is played by Peter, who is actually really intimidating given his battle experience. That actually is a real sword, since the soldiers figured it was pointless to use fake ones if they had real ones.

Peter's really gentle though, and thinks a squeaking Molly is kind of really adorable, making it difficult for him to fight.
