Someone on tumblr asked how to draw canine muzzles and I'm honestly not that good at muzzles, but when I have a hard time with anatomy, or drawing anything this is how I tend to break things down!

Reference is super super important, understanding how to draw an animal realistically will help your stylistic choices look even better!

While I honestly don’t look at reference as much as I should (despite having a MASSIVE animal ref folder lmao), understanding the basic shapes that make up the structure of their face will help you push them and exaggerate them into a style. I’d also recommend studying cat muzzles as well, because it’s VERY EASY to make them look too similar from a front view.
