Description
I sinked into my daydream world,
then I felt like floating up when I finally found my road.
This is my artistic journey.
PS:Still the ghost fishes series...XD
Edited 2014.10.31
I added some white at the end of the road...
(I'm not sure if it works...)

Wow! This is awesome! One of my favorite entries so far for the Artistic Journey contest.
The creativity for the angle of direction is really nice and the city is unique. I like cliff cities like this, I think they're a lot of fun.

The message your artwork conveys to me is "I shall rise above hardships and obstacles; triumph over all odds. I will emerge victorious over my surroundings, and upon reaching the top, I will gaze below, bearing witness to the the odds I faced and overcame in my ascension." What I'm seeing is that you've made the "road template" into a skyline. Sheer walls surround you - a representation of the odds you face. The walls have a very "artificial" appearance at first, but as one looks skyward, the walls take on an appearance similar to cliff faces. I'm also noticing that you've kept a consistency here, because the walls bear this design no matter where in the drawing I start looking upward.
Something I know about not just the art field, but all career fields, is that there is a lot of monotony - that the process of "climbing the rungs" is pretty much the same no matter what career you go into: you start at the bottom, and work your way to the top. Ideally, you would reach the top through self-discipline, hard work, and by building your integrity - in so doing, you make yourself stand out among the crowd. However, this is actually incredibly hard to do, and a huge reason for this is you're basically "competing" against COUNTLESS other people in the same field as you, and they ALL are climbing the rungs the same way. I've also noticed a pretty disheartening lack of respect and integrity in society today...and there are many cases where people stoop to underhanded and despicable maneuvers for no other reason than to "reach the top." Something I've heard about the art field in particular is that aspiring professional artists face some of the toughest odds out of anyone.
My interpretation of your entry goes like this: the "walls" in your drawing represent the odds you face and must overcome. Whether it's about "reaching the top" career-wise or assuming all control over yourself and your actions through sheer self-awareness and self-discipline, I have no idea...but then again, I'd think you know better than me, anyway. The design of the walls is pretty much "the same" no matter where I look - a representation of how everyone is going about the process of "reaching the top" in the same manner. Something I like about your wall design is how it looks "artificial" at first - with buildings such - but at some point, the artificial appearance takes on a more "natural and rugged" appearance. If you think about it, climbing a building is a LOT easier than climbing a sheer cliff. The way you've shown a pretty clear "boundary" where the buildings of the wall lead become cliff faces leads into something I've noticed, as well...and for those who aspire to actually reach the top, it's really important:
Many people stop "climbing the rungs" at a certain point - I believe this "point" is represented by the "boundary" in your drawing that separates the lower buildings from the cliff face. Regarding jobs and careers, I've seen people complain a lot about "how hard it is being at the bottom," but in truth, being on the bottom is less challenging because in many cases, you're being led by the nose by your "superiors." However, once you get to the point where many people stop climbing, you're not being led by the nose by your superiors anymore. I do understand that this isn't ALWAYS the case...but it's something that happens a lot to people who aspire to reach the top. To parallel your drawing, I think a lot of people reach that boundary and look up to see a sheer, intimidating "cliff face." This is where the REAL challenge starts, because in order to reach the top, you have to "make" your own rungs.
If you ask anyone who's scaled lots of cliff faces (as in, rock climbing) and has the experience to show for it, I think they'd be able to tell you just how incredibly tough and precarious it can be. I'm sure many people who've reached the top in the art field (or are close to it, at least) have felt this way a number of times. Efficiency and effectiveness are critical, but "cutting corners" to save time can be ruinous.

I don't think it's anything special, honestly. Put simply, I'm just making good use of my brain - something all humans have (and have the capacity to utilize effectively). Yet, there are too many people today who don't make good use of their brains - either because they've been "conditioned" not to (in most cases, by society and its "standards"), or they simply choose not to. Whatever the case, it's pretty obvious how it's affected people, society, and the world in general because of this. 👍: 0 ⏩: 0
Ah, yes...and as I talk about "making good use of one's brain," I haven't neglected the people who are actually "mentally retarded." There's a pretty distinct difference between "being unable to utilize one's brain effectively due to mental retardation" and "having the capacity to utilize one's brain effectively, yet choosing not to because
So, honestly...calling someone "retarded" for an act of idiocy or for a simple mistake (something all humans make) is idiotic in itself. Just something to consider.

Oh my god!!!! Thank you for such a long commet!!
I really like your view of "reach the top" ^^
And I want to add something>
Float up means being lighter, we will release our mine when we find the goal or aim.

"Float up means being lighter, we will release our mine when we find the goal or aim."
In other words, free ourselves from worry, yes? But remember, once you reach the top, a new battle begins: the battle to STAY there - to not allow yourself to "fall backwards." This is where self-discipline and self-awareness are important~
I made an entry for this contest, too - take a look, if you like! If you thought my comment was long, wait till you read the description I wrote for my contest drawing, haha. Yet, my reason for entering was pretty "deviant" (hmm, deviantART) and very different from what I've seen in other people's entries...but it's better if you look (and read) for yourself. The one thing I'll say now is that I can give no better explanation of what I've chosen to do with my life - my path - than what I've written there.
As with many other entrants, your artwork is awesome, and I wish you the best of luck - not just with this contest, but all of your endeavors! If you decide to check out my drawing and read the insanely long description, I think you'll understand why I'm making this offer to you right now: if you need guidance, support, or anything like that, I'll be happy to lend an arm for you. c:
