Consumed by grief and seeking solace, Zigbar turned his attention to the forbidden arts of thanaturgy and necroturgy, hoping to unlock the secrets of life, death and the soul. These researches brought him into possession of a Remnant, one of the magic stones that hold fragments of forgotten lives. This particular Remnant contained the consciousness and memories of an infamous necroturge named Vossen Morgastyr, who had played a significant role in Vermistad's dark history.

Drawing on Vossen's knowledge and experiences, Zigbar has begun to unravel the secrets of necrotic magic, driven by a thirst for understanding and a longing to reclaim what he has lost. With each forbidden ritual and macabre experiment, his power grows, but so does the darkness inside him. Those who use Remnants do so at their own peril, and Zigbar is becoming lost in a labyrinth of longing, grief and conflicting identities.
