It's a really crappy photo. There's a concept to this; the Statue of Liberty is in each eye, and the cracks are drawn in the words to the Star Spangled Banner, written in Japanese.This is basically how I feel toward how Japanese culture is represented in America. You know, those kids that pretend to be Japanese and scream out random Japanese phrases ("Kawaii, desu, etc...).
I'm going to upload a better photo when I get one, as a separate deviation. This'll stay in my main gallery 'til I can get it
What killed me in this picture? The cracks, obviously. You can't see it in this photo, but those are tiny words! And there were so many of them...
Also, the hair. It's not visible here (I cropped it out in this image) but it took forever. Two kinds of hair I can't draw: Straight, and blonde. Of course she had straight, blonde hair.
I kind of crapped out and made it darker, though. You can see it [link] By the way, this is about a third of the drawing. I just zoomed into the face so you can atually see the cracks. Full thing here [link]
