As the 21st century was just around the corner, some places (like Epcot) were getting ready for celebration while others feared all humanity wouldn't last a second. A drop in the bucket compared to the admittedly miscast Arnie's last movie (Batman & Robin), this nail biter could do with some recognition as something comparable to The Mummy, another action horror film owned by Universal.
