Well, since I can't write an official critique, I'll put it here. First of all, I really enjoy your unique style, and the fact that you use various media to achieve what you do. What I see most in your work is that the composition is mostly the same in that the subject is usually in the center of the page. The toned background works well, and the colors are subtle. Whether it is by intention or not, the line work tends to guide the eye around the entire picture. The open space surrounding the focal point tends to draw the eye away, only to find a blank area...at least for me. I think you could fill up that open area quite nicely, and sort of crop the main subject. There is no question that you are very skilled, and you should be proud of that. In fact I may give this sort of media a try...just because you made it cool. Anyway, hopefully something I said made sense, lol.

It really did - I was meeting with someone today and discussing the isolating of the portrait or figure in my works - compositionally I think I am looking for a shift and I think the next series of works will focus on this shift. You are not the first to say it and I have been looking for a way to turn the work - your comments are a great help - thank you - c
