Innocence, beauty... when I think of a Unicorn, all these words spring to mind, but "Pure" is how I envision a Unicorn. A Unicorn's horn has the power to purify poisoned water, only the pure of heart can touch the Unicorn. Thus this artwork is named after the soul of the Unicorn... "Pure".

Created using artists pencils and graphite sticks pure-ly (I just had to use that word there, just keeping with the theme of the artwork ... sorry) from my imagination, with very limited reference (I couldn't find any Unicorns to pose for me, they seem to be quite shy).

This was sitting in my 'not finished yet' pile in the studio, and discovered when creating some sort of order from the chaos that is my painting space. This artwork was a bit of a throw back to my older style, and I had to finish it for the sake of nostalgia!
