Description
In designing Violet, she is modeled after Mackenzie Foy at fourteen years of age. For her clothing design, she wears a violet-colored steampunk Victorian dress with influence of the original Helquist artwork. I also did something a little different with her hair: while she was depicted as having blunt bangs in the original illustrations, movie and show, I thought I’d take a break from those hairstyles and depict her as having curtain bangs. And like the Netflix depiction, has long straight hair whereas the Helquist illustration depicts her as having shoulder-length hair and partly braided in the movie.
