Description
"Stop, Snowbird." A voice trembled behind Lionblaze.Blackstar was limping towards them, the scent of death still on him.
Snowbird backed away. "But he's a traitor!"
"I'm loyal to my new clan!" Redwillow jumped to his paws and stood beside Shredtail. He glared at Blackstar. "Your time is over." He snarled. "Your nothing but an elder growing old over and over. Why don't you just give up and die?"
Blackstar padded closer to the young warrior. "I am still leader of this clan." He growled. "And you have betrayed us all." Fast as a bird, his paw flew out and slashed deep into Redwillows chest. Blood gushed from the wound, pulsing onto the forest floor. Redwillow stared in astonishment, then glanced down at the gash. Legs buckling, he collapsed. As his head thumped onto the pine needles, his eyes rolled and turned dull.

Call me crazy but this kind of Moments is the very reason Blackstar is my number 1. favorite warrior cat. In one moment he's such a badass and in the next moment he's the kind and carring leader again who takes care of a scarred kid, while the world is falling apart around them (when the old shadowclan camp gets distroyed by humans in Season two). I always pic those kind of characters as my favorite, the ones who seem to be sinister at first but than chance to good. Who apear cold the most of the time but than have rare moments where they prove that they indeed have a Heart.The ones who need to make up for past sins before they earn greatness....
Blackstar is just awesome, I love him <3

No. He proved to be an outstanding leader, loyal to the code. He had killed STONEfur under his leader's command. He was never evil. He killed redwillow because he betrayed starclan.

I don't think you analyze his character enough. Yes, he killed Stonefur in cold blood, but also rebuilt ShadowClan and made it a normal clan. He didn't side with the Dark forest, did he? He doesn't have evil intentions unlike Tigerstar or Brokenstar. Without him... Well, ShadowClan would be leaderless, Redwillow could've murdered someone, ThunderClan would've gotten torn to shreds by WindClan and RiverClan, and a lot more. Not to mention, in Bramblestar's storm, he showed respect to those who died. I respect your opinion, but don't judge a cat by who he killed.

Yes I agree. BlackFoot was ShadowClan's deputy. He probably even knew this, but if he disobeyed TigerStar about killing StoneFur, I'm certain TigerStar would of killed him on the spot, or maybe at least exiled him. Then, someone much worse and who has truly evil intentions (My guess is DarkStripe) would become deputy. And of course, after TigerStar died we'd have another crappy leader and ShadowClan would be led to its doom.Β
I hate how so many people despise him, and call him a "teenage girl" with "Mood Swings"
I mean he's just being a good leader! He's boss and ferice to his enimies and caring for his clan, is that so teenage girlish?!Β
I mean, FireStar is almost the same way so you could accuse him of having mood swings too if you really wanted too....

I so agree.
I hate how he killed Stonefur, but at the very least, he probably saved ShadowClan from Tigerstar. One massive flaw though, is that Tigerstar would've probably chosen Jaggedtooth or Tawnypelt due to Darkstripe's epic fail in killing Stonefur.
And I definitely agree. To his enemies, he shows a more hateful and fierce side. To his clan, it's a more soft and caring side. There's nothing wrong with that.

About who would be deputy, let me explain:
I doubt he would chose TawnyPelt because she was still TawnyPaw then. She wasn't made a warrior till FireStar's Quest (its a super edition)
And if you haven't read TigerStar's Fury, he has already decided JaggedTooth won't be the deputy. (It's an Ebook)
I Understand he pretty much looks down on DarkStripe now, but who else (who is eligable) would he choose? He defiantly wouldn't go off and choose some good-natured cat because then they would've more power to stop him and could easily make decisions that would help ShadowClan stop being evil - or even turn ShadowClan against him.Β
The point is, me thinking DarkStripe may be deputy if BlackFoot had died, is not an "epic flaw"Β

True, and I did read TF like 30 times. It is my favorite Warriors book. I don't remember the Jaggedtooth not being deputy part. Tigerstar would probably make Tawnypaw a warrior early and make her deputy at a very young age, like Bluestar did with Fireheart, or how Blackfoot became deputy without mentoring an apprentice. Maybe even Clawface since he was magically revived in TF.

I don't think he would've made TawnyPaw a warrior right then. She wasn't even have way through her training! TigerStar is proud, but not to the point at being stupid and making an untrustworthy to be evil young cat to be deputy.Β
