Mapleshade's mate spazzes at her after she accidentally drops her kits in the river.I made her mate resemble Crookedstar...one more reason why Mapleshade targeted him.

I've read the short novella on her, and I have to say it wasn't entirely her fault her kits drown. If anything both Riverclan and Thunderclan, partially caused Mapleshade to take the path to Dark Forest to seek out revenge forever.

How come mapleshade goes to the darkforest for having half-clan kits while others did but went to starclan or are still going if they don't screw up their life like:
Bluestar - Stonefur and Mistystar
Leafpool - Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, and Jayfeather
Fallowtail - Willowbreeze and Graypool
Featherstorm - Raggedstar and Scorchwind
Silverstream- Feathertail and Stormfur
Gorsetail - Thitslepaw, Swallowail, and Sedgewhisker
Cloudberry- thus causing the warrior code addition

I know now I read the book .3. but Ashfur attempted to murder 3 kittens/cat and 1 full grown cat. Yet he makes it to starclan...

Screw you Appledusk!! Hate you!!! HATE YOU!!! It's all Appledusk's fault that Mapleshade went to the dark forest. I mean, she got kicked out of ThunderClan when they found out and when Mapleshade asked Appledusk if she could join her clan and he's all like : I'm not letting you into my clan! So then Mapleshade had to live as a loner. She was kicked out when she had kits with a cat from another clan and Leafpool, she had kits not with just a cat from another clan but she was also a med cat! She's breaking TWO rules there and Mapleshade only broke ONE! She didn't mean to lose her kits in a river! It wasn't on purpose!! That was my short rant about Appledusk. HATE YOU APPLEDUSK! Whew! That took me FOREVER to write that.

I don't wanna change your opinion, but:
1. Appledusk and Mapleshade was one of the first known forbidden love couples, so it was really taken harshly.
2. Mapleshade also lied about being the Leader's son's mate to hide her forbidden love with Appledusk. When he found out he was pretty pissed, so that was added to the problem.
3. It's true she didn't mean to kill her kits, but she did make them be put at risk in order to get to Appledusk. I mean really, you would be real pissed too if your wife/husband murdered your kids, accident or not.

yes but also if u put her story this way (SPOILER ALERT) after her kits deaths she had hallucinations about them that caused her to go insane, which is why she went to the dark forest. so if oakstar hadn't exiled mapleshade none of that wouldve happened becuz birchfaces death wwas an accident
