Background/Biography:
April was born to one of her mothers, Ann, and the woman's current boyfriend. Ann's partner left her upon hearing that she was pregnant, leaving her to be alone for most of her pregnancy. She met a woman at her work and started dating her before April was born; and they got married when April was around two. April was and still is completely unaware to the fact that her other mother, Leslie, isn't one of her biological parents. Her parents have not yet told her about it, and Leslie tries to prevent telling her about it.
As April grew up, she was disliked in her schools. She was made fun of for being too short and made fun of for how she dressed and acted. She grew extremely antisocial because of this and developed extreme anxiety, resorting to speaking to people over the internet instead of in person. Her only friend that wasn't on a screen was her mom's cat Arthur, who she took after quite a bit.
When her parents suggested her going to a boarding school, she was kind of excited but very anxious about the whole ordeal. She agreed to it anyway, and was sent to Voel.
