Kyoung-hee's father passed away when she was a young child, her family was poor, and her Mother expected for Kyoung-hee to go to a vocational High school, and start making money as soon as possible. But Kyoung-hee had other plans. She believed that if she studied hard, and get into a good college, it'll answer all of their problems.

So against her mother's wishes, she attended a regular school, she stayed true to her goal, and she eventually became one of the top students of Yeondu High. However, it wasn't enough, she always came second place, as another student had been number one, that being a girl named Sae-yeon. Sae-yeon was cheerful, kind and most importantly, popular, but Kyoung-hee could never understand how Sae-yeon keeps besting her, she never seemed to have studied for anything, and is usually seen with her friends. Sae-yeon's father was a top government official, so Kyoung-hee believed that could be the reason, as it's most probable that Sae-yeon takes private lessons.

Nevertheless, Kyoung-hee was DESPERATE to come in first place, if not, she believed she was basically signing herself off to a life of poverty. So she studied harder and harder, to the point she lacked sleep, and dark circles formed on her eyes.

The day of the exam came, and despite EVERYTHING... She still came second place... Sae-yeon had bested her once again...

Feeling empty and Hopeless, Kyoung-hee was driven mad, and eventually, resulting in her taking her own life, falling from one of the school balconies. But that wasn't the worst part, below the spot she fell from, a fence surrounding one of the gardens was situated, so as she fell, her lower half was severed, and Kyoung-hee's corpse was split in half...

She haunts the Reading Room in the 4th floor of the School's New Building. when Students go in that room at midnight, it's said that Kyoung-hee's Ghost can be seen "sitting" in one of the chairs, her lower half obscured by the table, but if you look closely, you'll notice nothing below, just bloody entrails. if she notices you, she'll reveal her severed lower half, and chase you away from the reading room, she uses her elbows as a means to run.
