Nier Automata vs Black Rock Shooter: The Game

Two black-clothed anime videogame girls who are near emotionless/stoic living weapons (2B being a Yorha Android and Stella being a Gray, a clone of Sing Love/White Rock Shooter) created in order to fight in a war against an alien menace who has nearly killed all of humanity and who wanted to use them to augment their mental capabilities (The Machine Lifeforms, who use wanted to learn more of humanity and become similar to them, and the Aliens/Armaments/Apostles, who wished to Neblade humans/Grays in order to gain their memories and experiences), alongside other people (9S and Yorha, and Nana and the remaining humans). During the course of the game, they start expressing a bit more emotion and also manage to kill off the leaders of the aliens (Adam and Eve and The Seven Apostles/White Rock Shooter), tho, it barely matters in the end, since all of humanity ends up dead anyways (Humanity was already dead thanks to White Chlorination Syndrome and the 10 remaining humans get killed by the aliens).

They fight using both long range (Pod 042 and Rock Cannon) and swords (Virtuous Contract and Black Blade)
They are actually made not just for the purpose of fighting (2B being actually a 2E Unit, made to kill 9S whenever he learns to much of whats happening, and Stella being a special type of Gray called a White, a perfect clone of WRS)
Their companions die except not really (9S being infected by the Logic Virus except he transfered his mind to various machines and Nana looking like she died in an alien attack, but survives in the true end)
They fought off against a similar to themselves looking villain (2P and White Rock Shooter)
