It's a good job I have a small poster of the moon phases hanging up on the side of my bookshelf, otherwise I would have had no idea what to call this (I can't decide whether it is a first quarter or waxing gibbous )

I can feel my SAD starting to creep in once again, as autumn takes full swing and the daylight will gradually, slowly but surely, become shorter. Despite my loathing for the dark winter, I am always reassured as I know the moon rises high in the sky and you can see it much more clearly on a chilly, winter night. In times like these, I like to look up at the moon and perhaps get my telescope out, pondering about life, the universe and such. Big, scary questions.
